The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Suffolk residents regarding the residency of 52-year-old Andrew Lubrano, who had been in Suffolk County Jail and reported a move to Pauls Path in Coram.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Lubrano as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a predicate sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Lubrano had deviate sexual intercourse and sexual contact with a boy under the age of 17 in September 2004. He reportedly used threat, coercion and "immediately and physically overpowered" his victim. He was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual act in February 2012 and sentenced to a term of between 18 months and three years in state prison. Lubrano is now under the jurisdiction of the Suffolk County Police Department's SOR Unit.
